Getting started with LyncView

This walkthrough takes about 4 minutes. By the end, you'll have one template, one project, and one client invited.

1. Create your account

Sign up at /register. You can use email + password or one-click sign in with Google. Pro plan starts a 7-day free trial — no credit card required.

2. Build your first template

Templates are reusable workflows. Most service businesses have 1-3 main templates that cover 90% of their work.

Go to Templates → New Template. Give it a name (e.g., "Building Permit Application"), then add the checklist items in order. Each item can have a default due-offset (number of days after project starts), an assignee, and a visibility setting.

3. Start your first project

From Dashboard → New Project, give it a name, optionally a client name and address, and apply your template. The full checklist is created automatically with default due dates calculated from today.

4. Invite the client

On the project page, scroll to the Client Access section. Add the client's name and email. They'll receive a branded email with a link to set their password and access their portal.

5. (Optional) Connect your inbox

If you're on Pro or Business, go to Settings → AI Email Processing and connect your Gmail. From now on, project emails will be matched to the right project and proposed task updates will appear in your dashboard for one-click approval.

That's the whole loop. The rest of the product — intake forms, time tracking, webhooks — extends this same model. Build templates that match how you actually work, run projects from them, keep clients informed automatically.
