What workers can and can't see

Workers are restricted versions of owners. They can do most operational work but can't change account-level settings or see billing.

Workers can

  • Access all projects owned by the workspace owner
  • Create new projects from existing templates
  • Mark tasks complete, add notes, set due dates
  • Upload and download files on accessible projects
  • Comment on tasks
  • Be assigned tasks individually
  • Send and receive messages on projects they have access to
  • View and edit clients linked to their accessible projects
  • See team activity logs
  • Use the deadline view, time tracking, and notifications

Workers cannot

  • Access billing settings or change the subscription plan
  • View invoices or update payment methods
  • Add or remove other team members
  • Change account-wide settings (white-label branding, default visibility, SMTP)
  • Generate or revoke API keys
  • Configure outbound webhooks
  • Connect/disconnect the owner's Gmail (they can connect their own)
  • Delete the workspace

What clients see vs. what workers see

Workers see the full internal staff view — every task, including ones marked hidden from clients. Clients see only what's set to visible. The two views never overlap; a worker can browse the client view of a project for QA but can't accidentally show internal-only data to a client.

Activity attribution

Every action is logged with the user who performed it. The activity log on each project shows who marked which task complete, who added which note, who uploaded which file. Workers and owners are visible in the same log.
